WAIROA HIGHWAY BOARD.
The ordinary meeting of the above Board was held on Saturday last, the 4th instant. Present—Wardens lon, Fleming, McLean, Lupton, and G. S. Bridge (Chairman). Minutes of previews meeting read and confirmed. Treasurer’s balance, £340 14s lOd. Tenders were received for Saunders’ Hoad :—J. Saunders, £l4; T. Bowie, £26. Proposed by Mr lon, seconded by Mr Lupton, That J. Saunders’ tender be accepted. Carried. Proposed by Mr McLean, seconded by Mr. lon, That the resolution passed at the last meeting, appointing the Wardens to be valuers in the several wards be rescinded. Carried. Proposed by the Chairman, seconded by Mr McLean, That Wilson Milne be appointed Valuer for the current year, at a salary of £l3. Carried. Proposed by Mr McLean, seconded by Mr lon, —“ That Mr Harre’s offer of £lO for repairing Kenah’s Hoad be accepted. Lost. Proposed by the Chairman seconded by Mr Fleming, That tenders be invited for the office of Foreman of Works. Carried.
Accnunts r passed and paid;— Wilson and Mackay, £SO 10s; Duncan and York, £23 IGs Id ; Hogan and Delany, £G Gs 3d; W. Havre, £37 16; Dudley and Olsson, £55 15. The'meeting adjourned.
