Sheep were dull of sale, some of the pens being turned oat unsold. Settlers must not look- for any improvement in prices of fat sheep ; the present state of the tallow market precludes any hope of high prices ruling, and die outward trade is limited to shipments to ’•ho West Coast. Horses were in large numbers to-day, but the absence of bonHiem dealers made the demand very dull, and a ■caw sale, with indifferent bidding, was the •result. oat tie. —71 head were yarded. Fat bullocks brought from £lO to £ll 7s fid • stores steers, £7 12s Cd; 2-year-olds, £5 ss; yearlong. £3 10s. Sheep.—4s3 were penned. Wethers Os fid to'Ss 9d ; mixed ewes and wethers, 8s ; store wethers 6s Od to 7s. Horses.—A large number were entered for the day’s sale, but only a few were sold at late quotations. Exports.—Bo head of cattle, and -100 sheep.
