(Per Press Agency.) WELLINGTON. November 29. The Post says that Government only intend selling fifteen thousand acres of the Waimate Plains, during the present financial year. It is estimated to produce £8 per acre. TAURANGA. November 29. ■ The steamer Taranaki has been totally wrecked on the Karewa. The passengers are safe on the Island. The Stella has gone to fetch them;. No cargo will be saved.■ DUNEDIN. November 29. So many small fires have been occurring lately, that the Insurance Companies have resolved to re-insure buildings instead of paying the premiums. Nineteen thousand has been allotted to Otago, out of the one hundred thousand vote for School Buildings.
