GLADIATOR is a golden chestnut, rising 7 years old, 15 hands 3 inches high, bred by Count Legrange, by that celebrated horse, Gladiateur, out of Nuncia, by Nuncio, out of Fatina, by Ellis. Gladiateur by Monarque, out of Miss Gladiator, by Gladiateur, out of Taffrail, by Sheet Anchor. For further particulars vide English Stud Book. Gladiateur was the winner of the Derby St. Leger, 2000 guineas; and the Grand Prix, in 1865. Terms —Single Marcs, £7 7s; three or more,' £6 10s; groomage, ss. ALBANS is -8 years old, by Malton (irapoited), out of Montrose, by Potentate; g d Dolly, by Sir Hercules; gg d Dora, the best in Sydney of her day on the turf. Mai ton’s pedigree is indisputable, and he is the sire of several first-class horses on the flat and over hurdles. Sf. Albans won tbe Maiden Steeplechase at Aramolio in 1876; won the Hurdle Race at the Hutt last year, weight for age, boating Tommy Dodd and a large field; won the Ladies’ Purse at Foxton, welter weight for age, beating Parawenui, etc. His performances over fences in Wanganui have stamped him the best crosscountry horse in the Island. St. Albans is a beautiful dark chestnut, stands 16 hands, and from his size and breeding is in every way suitable for gelling roadsters, hunters, or superior hackneys. Bounce out of St: Hill’s blood mare by Figaro, out of liiddlesworth mare by Rubbius, out ol Arab mare by Riddlcswovth. Ravensworth being so well known, it is useless to particularise his pedigree. CONQUEROR is a bright bay, rising 5 years old, stands 16 bands 3 inches high, of immense muscular power, and splendid action. ’ Conqueror was bred by Mrs Miller, ..West Taiori, out of the celebrated mare Duchess, and is by Emperor out of' the celebrated mare Kate (imported by the lute Mr Jas. Strachan). Sire, Emperor. Emperor has gained three first and three second prizes. Emperor’s sire, Napoleon (imported by J- Nimmo). Napoleon by George Buchanan’s Emperor out of Nancy (imported)—bred by Alexander Finlay, Esq., Sandybills, near Glasgow. Nancy by the celebrated Garnary Horse, and her dam by Scotsman. Nancy was first shown as a 3-year old, and got first prize at. Hamilton, first at Balliestan, second at Glasgow, and second at Kilbride. She was nest year shown as a brood mare at Glasgow raid Kilbride, where she received similar honors. Conqueror took the first prize as a 2year old ac the Blueskiu Show, 1875, and second prize for AH-Comers and Aged Horses at'the same Show; and at Oamaru file following year took second prize as a S-year old in a field of nine competitors.
