NEW PLYMOUTH. November 19. At the Waste Lands Board on Monday, consideration of the application of Messrs Gane Bros., for permission not to reside on their land for 18 months, was deferred till next meeting'. A letter was read from Captain Wray, stating that the Roman Catholic Church had neglected to secure their church site at Carlyle; and consequently it was in a difficulty with regard to the land. The Board decided to inform the Rer Father Pertuis to thfiteffeot.
