At the Waverlcy sale held last Friday, the stock oifored were in capital condition and commanded animated and keen composition. erdre.no rates riding throughout. There wa? a large attendance of buyers and settlers, and every lot quitted. At the St. Hill street yards to-day. beef was of inferior quality, and was not all placed. Prime quality beef was scarce and fetched good prices. The store cattle were well competed for, prices obtained being in favor of the sellers. Mutton offered was of good quality ; competition was very keen and capital prices were obtained. The market showed a decided ri e of at least Is to 2s per head. A few Merino store wethers were sold at quotations. Cattle—At the W'averloy sale, over 400 head were sold. Fat Cows, £7 10s; milch cows, £6 17s Gd; 2 year-old steers, £i 2s Gd; cows and calves, £7 12s Gd; heifers. £4 2s Gd to £5; cows. £5 12s Gd to £tj 2s Gd; 3 yearoid steers, £G 7s Gd ; yearlings. £3 5-:; yearling steers, £3 10s; working bullocks, £8 2s Gd to £l2 17s Gd. At the yards to-day, GG head were sold. Fat cows, inferior quality. £8 17s 6d to £7 7s Gd; bullocks. £7 7s Gd to £9 5s ; store cows and heifers,.£3 j mixed lot, £3 17sGd. Sheep—Fat wethers 13s 3d to 17s ; ewes, 12s; store wethers, 7s 3d. Horses—The thoroughbred entire Gladiator was offered but withdrawn, the price offered. 750 guineas, being under the reserve price. I expect to place him privately at a satisfactory figure. Draught animals up to £25 ; hacks, £8 5s to £ls; screws, 30s to 50s. Exports—lo4 cattle, 550 sheep, 300 pigs, 30 horses.
