Patea Mail Office. Friday Evening. Mr W. Dale reports that at his monthly' i _ock sale held at Patea. on Thursday, the 4th iiwtnnt.’hc sold 200 .ewes at 9s 2d; 1J year . o'd steers at -M 10s : cows in calf From £6 to A 7 ; mixed cattle, £4 ss; pigs from 5s to £•1 each. MR F. R. JACKSON’S FORTNIGHTLY STOCK REPORT. Wanganui, July 4. On Friday last, at the Waver ley Yards, there was. only a‘very limited supply of stock. The whole of the entries were only 200 sheep, and a few horses. The prices realised were ■satisfactory to the vendor. At the Yards to-day, the same scarcity of stock was noticeable. No store sheep came forward, and only one pen of store cattle, which were turned out unsold. The fat stock met a good market, having barely enough for local requirements. Cattle —32 Lead were offered. Fat cows, £G 12s fid to £7 15s. Sheep —At Waverley, fat wethers, 12s Gd to 12s ‘id. To-day. at the St Hill St Yards, fat woihcrj made 12s («d to 14s; Horses—2o were offered : good useful dranqlits, ,-220 ; light harness horses, up to j: c 1 ; hacks. £S 10s to Ail ss, and up to £IG ; screws '2O < to 20s each. Exports —50 cattle and 600 sheep. [By Telegraph.] ' llav/eka, July 5. Air \V Cowern reports :—At my Normanby land sale yesterday, 200. people were present. Fortyysix, sections sold from £8 to £72, averaging £l6 15s per quarter acre. Forty acres of rural land in the vicinity realised £2l 10s per acre. The sale is considered a great success. K-AKARAMEA FLOUR MILLS. Present prices at the Mills:—Flour, in sacks, £l3 per ton; in bags, £l3 10s per ton; per sack, £1 8s; per 100 lbs, 15s; pollard, Cs per 100 lbs ; bran, 4s per 00 lbs.
