NEW STEAMER FOR PATEA. A meeting of Directors of the Patea’ Steam Shipping Company was held at the office of the company, Carlyle, Thursday, to receive tenders which had been called fora' new steamer. Eight tenders were received, that of E. W. Mills, of the Lion Foundry, Wellington, being accepted. The following tenders were opened : E. W. Mills, Wellington, £4,875 12s 6d —accepted. An account for £146 ss, from E. W. Mills, for plans and specifications, which had been prepared by him, being waived in the event of'bis- tender being accepted, made his tender the lowest., W. Seager, G-rabamstown, £4,804. R. S. Sparrowy Dunedin, £5,125. - C. Havvkwdod, Auckland, £5,300. R. H. Yeoman, Auckland, £5,485. Fraser and Tinne, Auckland, £5,500. Edward Seager, Wellington, £5,575.. S. McGoskie, Auckland, £7,650. The steamer is to be . completed and delivered to the Company by the 15th November nest,
