BALL ROAD.

(To the Editor of the Patea Mail.) Sir, —Can you, or any of the ratepayers, inform me whether it is the intention of the members of the Patea West Eoad Board to keep that portion of Ball Road as a mere toy, to say there is some one at work on said road, commencing from starting point of Mr Clifford's contract up to Woodville, including Woller and Company’s contract. Were not those contracts let subject to conditions to be finished within a certain time, to be executed in a , workmanlike manner according to plans and specifications, and to the satisfaction of the Engineer. I would like the members to go up with their Engineer and see if there is really any likelihood of their being able to got up that said Ball Road any time this nest six months with a horse and dray.—l am, &c.,
