PATEA EAST ROAD BOARD.

A meeting of tjic ahoy.fi Board- was held at the Board’s office, Carlyle, on Tuesday last. Present: Rev, A. Daseut (chairman), Messrs Derrelt, Gibson, W. Gower, Nicholson, ami L. Bremen-.

Minutes of previous meeting. read and confirmed.

Correspondence included letter . from Crown Lamia Office, .Wellington, notifying having instructed G. De Fraser to lay off road along the Wlicnnakura bank of the Patca .River ; from - Mathew Woulds, requesting extension of lime for bush fallingin the Okntnku District. Proposed by Mr Gower, seconded by Mr Nicholson, and carried, “ That the chairman employ labor lor removing- water off Little Taranaki Road."

Proposed by Mr Gibson, seconded by Mr Gower, and carried, ' u That the following statement of proposed expenditure bo handed in to the County Council by the Secretary—Bead! Road, £5 ; (Hon to Road, .£25 ; fiukatere Road, £SO ; Little Taranaki Road, £100'; Wilson Road, £SO ; sundries, £loo—-total, £330.

The meeting adjourned

A special meeting of the Board was also hold same day, at which a rate of 9d in the £ was made, and the Rate Book signed by the Chairman and- Messrs Gibson and Nicholson.
