NEW PLYMOUTH. June 18. At the Waste Lands Board meeting, it was announced that Government approve of letting the Hawcra Institute have half an acre of land on reserve.—G. W. Gane’s application for bis brother’s name to be entered as joint proprietor in sections he purchased, was approved of. The Borough Council have approved of Mr Barre’s scheme of water supply. Work to bo proceeded with at once. The Borough Council have arranged to negotiate a loan of £25,000 at 7 per cent, for water supply.
