NEW PLYMOUTH
June 11. At the Waste Lands Board on Monday, report showed land sold at Patea during May, 3,647 acres ; total value, £11,526. Sections 531, 573, 5T4, Hawera District, were reserved for road purposes on account of the gravel. In reply to a telegram fi ora Captain Wray the Board decided that no application for land on deferred payment be granted in excess of 320 acres. Allotments at Stratford are to he priced on 'Friday. Active preparations are being made for native meeting at IVaitara. Rewi has arrived within a few miles of Raleigh. Patea Library will get nearly £4O of Government Library Subsidy.
