IN nr about the month of A PHIL, 1878, Allotments in the Town of Hlratford, situate on the Mountain Load, at its intersection by the Patea .Liver, and distant 29 miles from Now Plymouth, 14 mile's frohi Inglewood, and 17 miles from Hav/cra, will be offered for sale. The Town is situate on the line of the Waitara-Wangan ui Railway, which is now open between New Plymouth and Inglewood ; the earth works are completed, and the bridges in course of construction, between Inglewood and the Mangamawhete Liver— Le., to within 9 miles of Stratford —and the bush has been felled along the railway line, preparatory to carrying on the construction from Mangamawhete to Stratford, and a sum has been voted by the Genera! Assembly for completing the railway to this point. The importance of the site Selected for the Towil will be best indicated by stating that at, or near, this point will be the junction of the Wellington, Auckland; and Nc\V Plymouth Railways. The site of the Town has been felled, add the side is delayed till April in order that the hUsh may be burnt, and intending purchasers enabled both to inspect allotments before bidding, and also to commence building immediately after the sale, should they desire to do so, which would be impossible if the land was sold with the bush still standing ou it.
