Constable John Burrows, of Waverley, charged Richard Dalton with stealing £1 note and two half-crowns, moneys belonging to Te Rangi. Prisoner sentenced to six months imprisonment, with hard labor, in Wang-anai gpaol. The Secretary Carlyle Town Board had three cases against defaulting ratepayers down for hearing. Two of the defaulter’s paid into Court. In the other case summons had not been returned. - .
