LATEST TELEGRAMS.
[per press agency.] OAMARU. March 23. The Rev Father Coleman, Roman Catholic pastor of the district, handed the following telegrams to the Evening Mail, in which journal they appear :- “ Oamaru, March 21—-To Rev Father Henneberry, Knmara—-Kindly reply by saying whether you denounced marriages between Catholics and Protestants as adultery, as stated by the Press Agency telegram.— William Coleman.”
The following reply was received : “ Kumara, March 22—-To Rev Father Coleman, Oamaru—The Press Agency telegram stating that I-have denounced marriages between Catholics and Protestants as adultery, is P. HEnnkbekry.”
