PATEA HARBOR BOARD.
A special, meeting of the above Board was held on Monday last; lor the purpose of opening tenders,which bad beep received for construct ion' of first portion of the break Water. Messrs Sherwood (in the chair), Williamson; Wray, Williams,’Wilson, Milroy; The following tenders were opened:— ACCEPTED; Richard and Dickson, Auckland; £7,373—contract to be finished in nine mouths; 0 DECLINED. Oaks alld Price, Wellington; £9,461 ICs—twelve months required to complete work; W. Aitchison; Carlyle, £10,250 fifteen months required to complete work; Taylor rind Danaher,- Auckland; £l I,3B2—twelve months time required; Collie, Scott, and Wilkinson, Wellington, £ 13,G85‘ 3s. Tenders were also*, received from Nathan and Wilkie (Wanganfiil and Dunn and Lockley, but were withwawri previous to being opened. A bmder from Denbigh and Roe was informally sent in. * The meeting adjourned;
