At The Waste Lands 'Hoard meeting, Held yesterday, the Chief Commissioner '(Mr C. I). Whitcombe) Was authorised to take action against persons trespassing on'the Wahnate Plains. He left here this mornuig'to prosecute J. Winks, -butcher,'of Hawera. A letter was read from Captain Wray, stating that land applied for by Peter Campbell 'was worth £8 to £lO per acre, ami that the bush section near-the Taumaha Native .Reserve •'should he 'offered at the upset 'price of £2 per acre. ‘Section to : bo 'offered at auction •at Carlyle.
