Hurley reports a-i follows : —Oats arc in good demand, and arc fetching outside prices/ The new seasons yield is good, so that there is a probability of a little alteration in p-iee . For inferior to best Canterbury oats the supply being very limited, and no large shocks being held, the retail price is about ts ils !o ss, For good sample local (new) the wholesale price is -Is 3d to -Is lid. Wheat—Several parcels have been taken up by local miners at 1 Is 9d,but there have been no exportations as yet—the price being far too high. Barley—The new crop has not yet been put into the market. Flour has recoded in price, and is now quoted at 15s sacks. Oatmeal maintains former prices. Dairy produce is exceedingly dull of sale. A few parcels of cheese, however, have been placed for present requirements. Hams and bacon—nominal. Grass reeds —Rye is just coming in, and promises to be a good sample. Cocksfoot has a very small local demand.
