TOWN OF STRATFORD. IN or about the mouth of APRIL, 1878, Allotments in the Town of Stratford, situate on the Mountain Road, at hs intersection by the Patou River, and distant 29 miles from New Plymouth, 1-i miles from Inglewood, and 17 miles from Ilawcra, will bo offered for sale. The Town is situate on the line of the Waitara-Wanganui Railway, which is now open between New Plymouth and Inglewood ; the earth works are completed, and the bridges in course of construction, between Inglewood and the Mangamawhcto River — i.e., to within 9 miles of Stratford —and the bush lias been felled along the railway line, preparatoiy to carrying on the construction from Mangamawhete to Stratford, and a sum has been voted by the General Assembly for completing the railway to this point. The importance of the site selected for the Town will be best indicated by stating that at, or near, this point will be the junction of the Wellington, Auckland, and New Plymouth Railways. The site of the Town has been felled, and the sale is delayed til! April in order that lire bush may bo burnt, and intending purchasers enabled both to inspect allotments before bidding, and also to commence building immediately after the sale, should they desire to do so, which would be impossible if the laud was sold with the bush still standing on it.
