WAIROA HIGHWAY BOARD.

A meeting of the above Board was held on Saturday, March 2nd. Present —-Wardens' lon. McLean, Fleming, Lupton, and Bridge (chairman). Minutes of previous meeting read and confirmed. Treasurer’s balance. £2lO 3s,

Correspondence—Fitm> F l aser & T regent' forwarding plan of deviation Okotuku trig station, and informing Board that they had passed timber for Kola Bridge t from Mr' Gibson, forwarding account of timber,, Kohi, and requesting that it be removed as soon as possible ; from J. W. Kenah, requesting Board to rescind resolution as to impounding cattle. Board declined to do so.

There was a long discussion upon twomotions pioposed by Mr McLean, seconded by Mr lon, The first was that the resolution to impound cattle should be rescinded, and the second that the resolution to impound should apply to all roads, but bollr were lost.

Resolved that tenders be invited by the next meeting of the Board for the foR lowing works : Erecting K"ld Bridge. Claying road at Watson’s. Making cuttings near Axup’s, Formation, &c., Waitotara. Formation and metalling Upper Mangß
