Mil F. R. JACKSON’S FORTNIGHTLY STOCK REPORT. Wanganui. February 28. The sales hare been well attended during the fortnight, and satisfactory prices obtained for the renders. The Yards at Waverley were exceedingly well tilled, with good useful stock. At the yards, to-day, the pens were nearly all filled., and everything sold under the hammer. A large number of horses found buyers at very good figures. Beef was of good quality, and made about 20s the lOOlbs. Cattle.—At Waverley. 244 head came forward. Fat bullocks made £8; steers. £G Kb; cows and calves, 117 ss; 18 mouths old, mixed Hcn.es, £4 7s (id ; yearlings, 418. At the Yards, to-clav. 80 head were yarded. Fat cows, 417 to £7 12s fid ; cows. 415 15s; steers, 2 year old, £5 2s Gd : calves. £2. Sheep.—At Waverley. 1.8;il were penned. Fat ewes, up to 12s; breeding ewes. Gs fid to Bs. At St. Hill Street, 1,1fi5 were entered and sold. Fat wethers, !)s fid to 10s ; breeding ewes, Gs to 7s fid ; old ewes, fis ; lambs, 4s Gd. Horses.—Draught unbroken animals made from £ls to £2fi ; good hacks, up to £l4 ; light do. £G 5s to £7. Exports—GO cattle, 850 sheep.
