[Reuter’s Telegrams to Press Agency.J LONDON. February 22, Russia demands a portion of the Turkish fleet. The Porte refuses, preferring to destroy it. The peace conditions are not yet signed. If delayed, Russian occupation of Constantinople is expected. The Russians have occupied Rutschuck. The Turks have evacuated Erzeroum. February 23. Russia has withdrawn the demand for a portion of the Turkish fleet, on the condition of the Porte engaging not to cede the same to England. The conclusion of the treaty of peace takes place to-morrow. February 25. Fresh peace conditions demanded by Russia includes prohibition of the passage of the Dardanelles by all war vessels, but fiee navigation to merchant ships ; an indemnity of fourteen hundred million roubles, to cover which Turkey requites to cede her ironclad squadron, the cities of Kars, Batoum, Bazizid, and Arclahan. Forty million sterling indemnity to be secured by bonds chargeable on the sinking fund, interest of which to be guaranteed by tributes now paid by Bulgaria and Egypt to the Porte. [Special to the Argus.'] LONDON. February 23. Cooinassie won the Waterloo Cup ; Seagull ran her close up. Adelaide won the Purse ; and Palm Flower won the Plate. An attempt to shoot the Master of Rolls by an insane sailor failed. The Pope will be crowned to-morrow in the Sisteni Chapel. Peace has been effected-in Cuba, and the rebels have been pardoned. The confiscation law has been repealed. The German Government are making large purchases of gold at London. February 25. A monster, anti-Russian meeting has been held in Hyde Park. The new,peace conditions are that 50,000 Russians occupy Bulgaria for two years, with forty million pounds indemnity. Austria is raising a special vote. Sir Bartle Frere has been dismissed by the Molteno Ministry. The Pope has dismissed General Kinzza, Commandant of the Papal Dominion. MELBOURNE. February 25.
