Dead Shot is a Chestnut Horse, 7 years old, and is perfectly sound ; was bred by H. Redwood, Esq.; is got by Ravcnsworth, dam Certainty, by J. C. Barbiers’ (imp) dam Chance, by Sir Hercules, dam Finesse. Finesse is grand dam of Tramp Card. Ravenswortli by Touchstone, &c. Dead Shot has proved himself a sure foal getter, is now in his prime, and has three-year-old stock, viz—Mata (winner of the Canterbury Jockey Club Handicap), Chokeborc, JplnUro, OrmigG JLiightning-y a.n<l otliors, arc just beginning to make a name for themselves He has been exhibited at seven Agricultural Shows, and has taken seven first prizes in his class for colonial thoroughbreds. Mionarch Is a Brown Horse, 7 years old, standing 16 hards high, is got by Ravenswortli, dam Plover by Sir Hercules, dam one of j Iccley’s thoroughbred mares, imported by H. Redwood, Fsq. Monarch ran -well in his time as a three-year-old, has since proved himself a sure foal getter, and lias loft splendid stock both in Nelson and : Patoa district. He is out of same mare as Malvina and Patch, and own brother to Hercules—ail good performers on the turf.
President Is 6 years-old, bred by .Kenneth McKenzie, Esq., Heidleburgh, Victoria, is got by Lord Clyde (inrp), out of Blossom, by Prince Charlie (imp), out of Kate (imp), by Lothiam Tam (imp). President was imported by John Shield, Esq., from Melbourne ; is a beautiful rich roan colour, has proved himself a sure foal getter, and has left stock in the Patea District second to none in "Wanganui. ALSO, Steeplechase and Hurdle Horse HAZEL LB, with all engagements. Gazelle won the last Rangitikei Hurdles, beating To Whetumarama, Victor, and five Others. ST&sdora Bay Mare, bred in Canterbury, got by Brush ; pedigree of dam unknown. Medora has won more hurdle races and Steeplechases than any other mars in New Zealand. She is now stinted to Dead Shot, and will make a grand brood mare. Blossom, Bay Mare (draught), I years old, by Loch Ryan, dam by Clyde, grand dam by England’s Hope. Blossom took first prize for Draught Marcs (all ages) at Waverley last Show, and is now in foal to President. Quicksilver, Entire, 4 years old, by old Quicksilver, out of Sattelite, dam bred by J. Hamilton, of Wanganui, Broken to harness. ]Lord. kelson. Entire Pony, by Tom Thumb. Very quiet, and sure foal getter. And,

Brigham Young is 5 years old, by Tradncer; dam Missie, by Nntvrith. Winner in 1876 of the Wanganui Grand National Steeplechase of 150 sovs, beating a field of thirteen first-class horses ; and at the Taranaki Races, in the Handicap Hurdles of 50 soys, ran second to Butcher Boy, oyer four feet jumps, two miles; and at the same meeting, ran third to Glenavy in the Maiden Plate. Also, BLACK PRINCE. Black Prince is a Heavy' Draught Horse, 6 years old, by Tasman, dam Nelly; bred by Mr Paterson, of Wanganui. And, From instructions from J, E. Stent, Esq.
