JACKSON jj lias received instructions front Messrs Mcßae & Nicholson (who are dissolving partnership), to sell by auction, at the St. Hill Street Sale Yards, on the above date, the following splendid lot of horses :—- Bead Shot. Dead Shot is a Chestnut Horse, 7 years old, and is perfectly sound ; was bred by H. Redwood, Esq. ; is got by Ravenswortll, dam Certainty, by J. C. Barbiors’ (imp) dam Chance, by Sir Hercules; dam Finesse. Finesse is grand dam of Trump Card. Ravenswortll by Touchstone; &c. Dead Shot has proved himself a sure foul getter, is now in his prime, and has three-year-old stock, viz—Mata (winner of the Canterbury Jockey Club Handicap), Chokoboro; Pinfire, Orange Lightning, and cithers; are just beginning to make a name for themselves He has been exhibited at seven Agricultural Shows, and has taken seven first prizes in his class for colonial thoroughbreds. % Monarch ** Is a Brown Horse, 7 years old, standing id hards high, is got by Ravenswortll; dam Plover by Sir Hercules,, dam one of Iceley’s thoroughbred mares, imported by 11. Redwood, Esq. Monarch ran well in his time as a thrcc-year-ohl, has since proved himself a sure ford getter, and has left splendid stock both in Nelson and Patea district. Ha is out of same marc as Malvina and Patch, and own brother to Hercules—all good performers on the turf; President Is 0 years old, bred by Kenneth McKenzie, Esq.. Heidleburgh, Victoria, is got by Lord Clyde (imp), out of Blossom, by Prince Charlie (imp), out of Kate (imp), by Lothiam Tam (inip). President was imported by John Shield, Esq., front Melbourne; is a beautiful rich roaii colour, has proved himself a sure .foal getter, and has left stock in the Pates District second to none in Wanganui. also; Steeplechase and Hurdle Horse GAZELLE, with all engagements; Gazelle won the last Rangitikei Hurdles,’ beating Te Whetumarama, Victor, and five Others; Medora Bay Marc, bred in Canterbury, got by Brush : pedigree of dam unknown; Medora lias Won more hurdle races and Steeplechases than any other mare in NeW Zealand; She is now stinted td Dead Shot; and will make a grand brood mare. Blossom., Bay Mare (draught), 4 years old, by Loch Ryan, dam by Clyde, grand dant by England’s Hope. Blossom took first prize for Draught Mares (all ages) at Waverley last Show, and is now iri foal to President.
