LONDON. February 11. Gortschakoff telegraphs as British Fleet goes to Constantinople we send our army there. February 13. _ The Turkish Government has been notified to protest against the entry of the British Squadron into the Dardanelles. Lord Derby informed the Lords he hoped to be able to announce on Thursday that the British Squadron had arrived at Constantinople. The Channel Fleet has been ordered to rendezvous at Gibraltar. Government has purchased-two Turkish ironclads detained as contraband in the Thames.
