Provincial District of Taranaki. TOWN OF STRATFORD. IN or about the mouth of APRIL, 1878, Allotments in tbe Town of Stratford, situate on the Mountain Road, at its intersection by tbe Patca River, and distant 29 miles from New Plymouth, 14 miles from Inglewood, and 17 miles from Ilawera, will be offered for sale. The Ton'll is situate on the line of the Wailara-Wanganui Railway, which is now open between New Plymouth and Ingle* wood ; the cart!) works arc; completed, and the bridges in course of construction, between Inglewood and the Mangamawhete River — i.e., to within 9 miles of Stratford —and the bush lias been felled along tbe railway line, preparatory to carrying on the construction from Mangamawhete to Stratford, and a sum has been voted by the General Assembly for completing the railway to this point. The importance of the site selected for the Town will be best indicated by stating that at, or near, this point will be the junction of the Wellington, Auckland, and New Plymouth Railways. The site of the Town has been felled, and the sale is delayed till April in ordei that the bush may be burnt, and intending purchasers enabled both to inspect allotments before bidding, and also to commence building immediately after the sale, shouk •they desire to do so, which would be im possible if the land was sold with "the bu still standing on it.
