Business Notices. for Is. MANUTAHI, PATEA DISTRICT. HE Promoters beg to submit to the public the particulars of their LAND SALE on the ART UNION PRINCIPLE, and would point out a few of the advantages likely to accrue from the successful venture. THIRTY SECTIONS Are offered on tlic above principle, in the rising Township of Manutahi, valued at £BOB 10s, in 770 tickets at At Is each. The sections are portion of Block No. 11, and are numbered and valued as follows:—1, £125; 2, £OO ; 3, £BO ;5, £00; G. £4O; !), 12, 13, 1-4, £2(i each ; 10,11, £3O each; 15, IG, 17, 20, 21,22, £l7 each; 18, 19, £25 each; 24, 25, 2G, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, £l2 10s each. It is arranged that the drawing shall take place in Carlyle on the 30lh March, 1878, and the winning numbers advertised in the Patea Mail of 3rd April, 1878. The winners to produce their tickets as payment for the land, Manutahi is exactly midway between the two great centres of population in the Patea District (Carlyle and Hawera), and is ten miles from each. It is situated on the Main Trunk Line of Road, is rich in soil, is surrounded by almost endless tract of country, which is admitted on all sides cannot be surpassed, possibly not equalled, in the Colony. Apart from its great centralistic character, Manutahi will be a great half-way Depot from the Port of Patea inwards, and for cattle, produce, and all the vast wealth of the territory lying beyond (outwards). The Waitara-Wanganui Railway is surveyed through it. In view of the Patea Harbor Works now in progress, the successful accomplishment of which is an admitted fact; in view' of the land being sought after and eagerly grasped and occupied from day to day, the advantage of Town Land in this locality is obvious to all who are in any way acquainted with it. About 4,000 acres of rich country, quite close to this 'Township, will bo offered by the Government at auction diming the early part of 1878, which will attract many set tiers (more especially as it is surveyed in small lots), and cause an increased demand for Town Lands, with all the concomitant requirement: of stores, hotels, shops, trades, &c., &c. The land is quite level, till cleared and gr .s ;od. Plans and full particulars may bo o! tallied on application to Mr William Cowern, auctioneer, Carlyle, where also tickets may be obtained.
