Handicap to be posted in the Albion Hotel by 9 p.m. on the evening of the first day’s races. Acceptance by 10 a.m. nest morning at the Hon. Sccx-etary’s office.

Forced Handicap, for Winners, of 20 sovs; entrance, 2 sovs; optional to losers at 1 sov; distance, 14 miles. Nominations for the Flying Handicap, the Patea District Jockey Club Handicap, and the Handicap Trot, must be made at the Secretary’s office, Carlyle, on or before 8 p.m. on the 28th December, 1877. Weights to be declared on Wednesday, 9th January, 1878. Acceptances to be made on the night of General Entry, sth February, 1878. General Entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary P.D.J.C., at the Secretary’s office, Carlyle; entrance money enclosed, with the name, age, pedigree of the horse, as also name of owner and colors of the rider, by 8 p.m. on Friday, sth February, 1878.
