IN or about the month of APRIL, 1878, Allotments in the Town of Stratford, situate on the Mountain Road, at its intersection by the Patea River, and distant 29 miles from New Plymouth, 14 miles from Inglewood, and 17 miles from Hawcrn, will be offered for sale. The Town is situate on the lino of the Waitara-Wangamii Railway, which is now open between New Plymouth and Inglewood ; the earth works arc completed, and the bridges in course of construction, between Inglewood and the Mangainawhclc River— i.e., to within 9 miles of Stratford —and the bush lias been felled along the railway line, preparatory to carrying on the construction from Mangamnwhcto to Stratford, and a suin has been voted by the General Assembly for completing the railway to this point. The importance of the site selected for the Town will be best indicated by slating that at, or near, this point will bo the junction of the Wellington, Auckland, and New Plymouth Railways. The site of the Town has been felled, and the sale is delayed till April in order that the bush may bo burnt, and intending purchasers enabled both to inspect allotments before bidding; and also to commence building immediately after the sale, should they desire to do so, which would be impossible if the land was sold with the buah still standing on it.
