PARLIAMENTARY.
From telegrams received yesterday of Monday evenings proceedings in the Asscrably, wo learn that a long and warm discussion took place on the Government policy, on the motion for going into Supply being brought on. A number of members spoke. Mr Murray sketched out a new proposal for finance and for dealing with native lands. Mr Macanlrew considered the spoliation of Otago was comple when abolition was accomplishel. Mr Reynolds assented to the land fund being taken boldly. Mr Reid took opposite view and believed the proposed system would finally be denounced as wholesale robbery. A long discussion also took place as to honorarium of £3,000 to Sir Julius Vogel, and was finally carried by 33 to 21. The remainder of the ordinary estimates were passed. On the House meeting yesterday afternoon a number of questions of no local interest were answered.
