MR FREEMAN R. JACKSON’S FORTNIGHTLY REPORT. WANGANUI. November 22 At the Waverlcy sale the attendance was not so large as usual, but the prices obtained were satisfactory to the sellers. At the yards, to-day. the sale was well attended, and the bidding brisk. Beef was rather lower in value. Store cattle sold well. The store wethers sold well. Mrs Hair’s rams were well competed for, and realised good prices; they were well grown and in splendid order. Cattle—At Waverley, 212 head were yarded, and all sold, with. the exception of one pen. Prices were: Bullocks, £6 10s; to £7 8s; cow's.'£l 15s to £5 2s 6d; cows and calves, £0 17s Gd; steers. £5 12s 6d; yearlings, £3 12 Gd. At the Hale Yards, to-day—Fat cows, £7 to £8 12s Gd; store bullocks, £G 16s; cows, £5 ss; heifers and steers, £5. Sheep—9oo wethers came forward and sold —Fat light weights, 8s to 8s 3d; store wethers, 7s. Mrs Hair’s rams brought from £3 to £lO. Horses —A large number came forward. Hacks from £6 to £ls; light draught, £lB to £23.
