The Patea Harbour Board will meet at three o’clock to-day. The public meeting at Normanhy, to consider what action shall be taken in regard to the Mountain Eoad, Small Farm Association, &c., will be held at half-past seven o’clock in the evening. A private telegram received from' New Plymouth on Thursday stated that the New Plymouth Harbor Bill had passed [ through the Lower House. . ■ • In the Wellington Waste Lands Board meeting on the *lßthinstant, a plan of sections of land at Okotnku to be offered for sale was ordered to be lithographed. The Chairman of the Harbour Board, ’ with the idea of giving the general public an opportunity of inspecting plans of proposed Batea Eiver improvements, has aixanged for the same to be on view in the Council Chamber of the County Council to-day (Saturday) from eleven o’clock hr the morning until three o’clock in „ the afternoon. All interested—gentlemen or ladies—will be free to attend. Mr T. Dawson is gazetted Postmaster at Manutahi, Mr H.J.Keely at Opunake, Mr W. G-. Fraser at Waitotara, and Mr W. C. Peacock at Waverley. Messrs Goldsborough report in the October Circular :—“ We have made up our usual return of shipments, of Wool for the year,ending September 30th, from the four colonies of Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, and Queensland, and find an increase upon the total yield of last year of 45,157 bales.
