WOODSIDE STUD HORSES TO TRAVEL THIS SEASON, WITH IK THE JPATEA COUX'JY. Tiio following- Horses— DEAD SHOT DEAD SHOT is a beautiful chestnut, (' years old, stands 1G hands high, with immense girth. Pedigree—By l!avcnsworth out of Certainty, by 11 Barbiere, &c., Ac. Vide Stud Book. Dead Shot lias been shown Five Times, and taken Five First Prizes, viz. .—Nelson, Taranaki, Wanganui (silver medal), Pa-tea (twice, silver medals). Head Shot’s stock is allowed by competent judges to be second to none in the Middle Island. Terms—Single marcs, £5 ; two or more, £4: 10s ; groom’s fee, Os. Guarantee, £7. MONARCH. MONARCH is a rich brown horse, G years old, stands 1G bands 1 inch, with splendid bone and great weightcarrying power; by Ravenswortb, dam Plover. (For further particulars vide Stud Book.) Monarch ran in Nelson as a 3-year old, winning the three events he started for. He alforwards broke down in Wellington, and bus not stood training since. Monarch is own brother to Hercules, who ran most successfully for several years iu Christchurch ; and half-brother, on dam’s side, to Malvina, who was one of the best performers ir the South, beating Calumny and other noted cracks., Terms—Single mares, £I ; two or more, £3 IQs; groomage, ss. President will travel to Hawcra on Mondays, Normanby and Ketemarae on Tuesdays, returning to Woodsido on Wednesdays ; Fridays, to tVhennakura and back; remainder of week at Woodside. Maxwell, Esq., 3 years old, and is a good useful roadster, suitable for getting compact cobs and buggy horses; stands 15 hands 2 inches, and is by Quicksilver (imported Norfolk trotter), out of Sattelitc’s dam. Terms—£2 each marc. Lord Nelson. T ORD NELSON is a model pony, jj 4 years old, and stands 12 hands high, by Tom Thumb, out of a well-bred pony mare. Terms—£2 2s each mare; groomage, 2s 6d. Paddocking free for three weeks, after which Is Gd per week will be charged in all cases. Fees payable by cash on Ist January, 1878.
