Working bullocks, £2O to £25 per pair; dairy cows, £7 10s to £8 10s ; three year old steers, £5 15s to £G 10s ; two year olds, £4 10s to £5 18s ; yearlings, £3 5s to £3 15s ; calves, £2 15s ; ewes and lambs 1 Is.
DUNEDIN. September Mr Pym sold to-day, at auction, 500 Union shares at 10s 3d to 11s 6d premium. There was spirited competition. A Microscopical Society has been formed here. LAWRENCE. September 28. The Union allocation causes great dissatisfaction. The largest insurer in town applied for thousand and was allotted none. Sixty thousand were applied for altogether, and only some 330 allotted. TIMARU. September 28 Great dissatisfaction re allotment of Union shares. Some are offering to sell rather than take any further interest in the Company.
