There is an increased demand for all stock Stores —both cattle and sheep— are much wanted, and command full rates My sale to-day was in favour of the seller all through the competition being very brisk for all that was offered. Beef was of fair quality, and made 25s the 100lbs. . , ~ Oattle —123 head were offered, and sxdd as follows :—Fat bullocks, from £0 to AlO los ; cows £7 17s 6d ; store steers, £6'l2s ha to £7 2s Gd ; mixed sexes, £5 2s 6d ; yearlings to 18 months old, £3 15a. Hheep—3so were penned. Ewes ana wethers, mixed, 12s Cd to 14s 3d. PPr .—Povkers, £1 5s ; sows, £2 Bs. Horses—About the usual number were offered. Hacks found purchasers at from £o to £8 13s, with a good number unsold. Hay, £3 5s per ton. Exports —12G head cattle, 1,850 sheep, and 51 pigs. GRAIN AND PRODUCE. The Canterbury ‘ Times,’ of the Sth instant reports : , , Wheat firm at Gs Gil for sound parcels. Oats have not altered in value. Sales tor trade purposes are being made at os Id to 3s Gd. , . , Potatoes continue a complete drug. Flour. —The nominal value of guaranteed, fob is £l7, but the easier tone remarked m our last report is now more pronounced, and for parcels lower prices would be taken, hie business done has not been great. Oatmeal is in moderate demand at £u IDs. Grass Seed.—The enquiry for rye grass seed has somewhat abated, and prices arc easier. Wc quote from 4s Gd to 3s for clean farmers samples ; inferior are only worth 3s -A to 4s. Dairy produce is unchanged. Butter, sid to Gd ; cheese, sd. ______________
