PATEA EAST ROAD BOARD. ; A mhetino of the above Board was held at the Council Chambers, An Monday last, all the members being present. Minutes of ordinary, general, and special meetings previously, held, bonfinned., Amongst the correspondence was a letter from County Council, requesting Board to remove obstructions to the water-tables and place a culvert at- the junction of the Taranaki Road with the Main Road, between Derrett’s farm; and school; reserve, Whcnuakura ; also, to make good the gravel destroyed by Board on the Main Road, at the same .place.—From Felix McCarthy, asking that road from mainline of road to gravel pit on swamp be made passable for dray traffic.—From A. Hutchinson, giving . particulars, of work done on Okutuku, and cost. Secretary instructed to inform Mr Duncan that his request to alter rate for part section 454, could not be acsecled to till next Rate Roll was made up. ; On the motion of Mr Southby, seconded by Mr W. C; Symes, it was resolved, that discretion be left to the Chairman and Mr Homer, to employ a legal practitioner in the case of Bowie v. 26th Road Board. | Air Riddell was asked to report bn Wilson Hoad, and road to Mr Piouse’s.: Report as to little Taranaki Road, by Messrs Gower and Nicholson, to be partly carried out at once,.
