KAKARAMEA°B’LOUR MILL. The following are present prices at the above Mill:—Pollard, ,7s per 100 lbs; bran, 5s per 100 lbs; gristing, in lots of not less than 20 bushels, Is per bushel. EDWIN PAYNE. September 1,1877. o MB FREEMAN R. JACKSON’S FORTNIGHTLY REPORT. Thursday, August 30. Since my last report I have held two sales, at which . good -prices were obtained, especially in store cattle, the bidding.for this description' of stock being very spirited. Beef is scarce, and really prime cattle difficult to obtain. Sheep are in good demand, fat ones showing a marked risk in values. At the ya,rdsrto-day, two pens of splendid wethers, bred by Mrs Hair, brought 2-is fid and 25a respectively. Cattle— At Waverlcy, 198 head came forward, and all sold, with the exception of one pen of steers. Prices were :—Bullocks, £6 17s 6d ; cqws, from £4 15s to £5 2s fid; steers, £4 ' 15s; yearlings, £2 17ufid; milch cows, from £5 12s 6d to £7 12s 6d. At the St, Hill Street Yards, to-day, 111 head were sold. Fat bullocks, from ,£8 2s fid to £9 ; cows, £7 10s; store bullocks, £6 17s 6d ; two year old steers, £4 17s fid to £5; cows, £5 ; yearlings, £2 17s fid. Sheep. —3oo were penned; best wethers, 24s fid to 26s ; medium, 11a 3d to 13s; old ewes, 5s fid. Horses. —Hardy brought £36 ; Prophet * £25 ; unbroken medium draughts, £9 5s to £l7 ; hacks, from £4 15s to £ls ss. Pigs. —None came forward. Exports,—77 head cattle, 410 sheep, 50 pigs-
