Caucasian immigration to Turkey is increasing. ' August 20. The Russian advanced guard is skirmishing in the vicinity of Rutschuk. ■A Turkish official despatch says that a detachment from the garrison repulsed the Russians. The Turkish force lias re-entered Brobuechu. The Russians are advancing ngrainst them. A Russian official despatch admits that the Russian rcconnaisance was repulsed at Osman Bazar. Roodavick has carried the advanced Russian positions at Batoum. LONDON. August 19. The Queensland mail -was delivered on, the 14th, and the ’Frisco on the 15th. Sailed —Limcaborago on the 13th, Durham to-day. August 19. Ten Russian cavalry regiments and thirty-five thousand irifantry, with one hundred and ten guns, attacked Muchkta Pasha’s army yesterday, near Kars. They fought all day, and the Russians were compelled to fall back with a loss of twelve hundred men : the Turks lost one hundred. The Russians have rcoccupied Kustendgi. SYDNEY. August 21.
