Election of a Member for the Patea County Council. EXTRAORDINARY VACANCY. IN consequence of no Candidate havingbeen nominated for the Vacancy in the Hawera Hiding, caused by the resignation of A. Winks, Esq., I hereby notify that an ELECTION will take place in the Government Cottage, used as the Native Office, at Hawera, on SATURDAY, the 25th clay of August, for the purpose of electing- a member to fill the same. Nomination of candidates will take place in the aforesaid Cottage, on Thursday, the 1 (ith August, at noon. Nomination papers will be received by the Returning Officer, at the office of the Patea County Council, Carlyle, from the date of publication hereof until 4- p.m. of Wednesday, the loth August, and at the Government Cottage, Hawera, from 10 a.m. till noon of Thursday, the IGth of August.
