The Port Darwin lino is interrupted, therefore there are no European telegrams. Rush and Trickctt are both in good form for the boat race. The former is heavily backed.

News by the Torres Straits’ mail at at Brisbane states —Fall detailed instructions hare been sent by Madras mail from Home Government to India, to send a force to occupy Egypt in the event of certain contingencies. Sir Neville Chamberlain has been offered command of expedition. Chinese immigration to Queensland is expected greatly to decrease, owing to opening of tea season.
