KAKARAMEA FLOUR MILL,

Cattle Market—Mr Courtney held his usual fortnightly sale at Glenavon on Thursday last. There was a very small muster of cattle, only 30 head being yarded ; 27 head sold at fair prices. There was an inquiry for young stock and working bullocks, but none were yarded. Prices realized were as follows: —Small store heifers, £4 2s Gd to £5 5s 6d ; store cows, £5 to £5 17s 6d; very small 3 year-old well-conditioned steers, £G ; secondclass cows, near calving, £8 10s to £1) 10s; 1 pen small wethers, 10s Od ; 1 pen good store ewes, 0s 3d ; two saddle hacks were sold, one fetching £Blss, and the other, £7, —‘Taranaki Herald.’
