IN reply to numerous enquiries respecting the age and breed of the Roan Bull “ SHAKESPEAR,” we respectfully state that he is three years old, by “ Knight of the Crescent,” out of an Ayrshire Cow. The Ayrshire cattle (according to the best authorities both in Europe and America) are the best breed known for general dairy purposes. They are good, honest, all-round cattle, with a kind and gentle disposition, so necessary to dairy men and women.
