The following arc present prices at the above Mill:—Flour, £l7 per ton, 18s per i9O lbs; pollard, 7s per 100 lbs ; bran, 5s per 100lbs; gristing, in lots of not less than 20 bushels. Is per bushel. EDWIN PAYNE. May 20, 1877. Mil FREEMAN K. JACKSON’S FORTNIGHTLY REPORT. Wednesday, May 23. I have held two sales during the fortnight. The sale at Waverlcy was well attended, and ;>urc cattle brought full rates. Sheep are not much inquired ior, although there is no change in prices. Cattle—At Waverlcy, 125 head were The pens that were passed In were aherwards placed. Prices were . —Bullocks, £G 10s ; cows, £5 ; yearlings, £3 ; fat cattle, mixed cows, and bullocks, £7 17s Gd, At St. Hill-street, to-day, 52 head came forward. Beef made 20s tho 100 lbs. Fat bullocks. £8 ; cows, £7 to £7 7s Gd; stores, mixed, £3 17s Gd. Sheep—At Waveilcy, COO came forward. I only sold 300. Ewes, 7s Gd to 8s ; one superior lot, 12s. At the St. Hill-street sale, 903 were sold ; fat sheep, 8s Gd to O.s 9d; ewes, from 5s to 7s 3d. Horses —The usual number came forward. Tho racehorse Gazelle was withdrawn at £IOO. Young draught animals brought from £25 to £2B ; hacks, £5 £l2. Exports—so cattle, 850 sheep.
