A meeting of the Road Board Commissioners of the above district, took place on Saturday, the 19th instant, at the Blockhouse, Hawera, when the amounts due on past and present contracts, and all accounts due by the Board, were passed for payment. After the above, the general meeting of ratepayers of the district was commenced, and an election held for the purpose of selecting new Commissioners, at which the following are the names of the gentlemen who were chosen for election, with the number of votes recorded W.
