KAKARAMEA FLOUR MILL. The following are present prices at the above Mill ;—Rost Flour, £1« per ton ; No. 3 Hour, £l4 10s nor ton ; pollard, 7s per 100 lbs ; bran, os per *IOO lbs ; gristing, in lots of not less than 30 bushels, Is per bushel. EDWIN PAYNE. May 12, 1877. Patea Mail Office, Friday Evening. Mr W. Cowern reports holding his usual monthly sale at Kakaiamea on the 9th inst., when 500 sheep and- 15 head cattle were yarded. The weather was rough and squally, which militated against success of sale. He quotes ewes, in lamb, fair class, 8s 6d eacu ; .Merino ewes, inferior, 2s 3d ; wethers, bettor class, 0s 3d. Fat cows fetched £6 Os ; £8 was offered for Cat bullocks, but was not considered sulfieicut, MR FREEMAN It. JACKSON’S FORTNIGHTLY REPORT. Thursday, May 10. At the usual fortnightly sale, to-day, prices for store cattle were in favour of the sellers, competition being very brisk for all offered. Beef was of good quality, and made about 20s the lOOlbs. I did not sell • all the sheep offered at the auction, but placed the balance afterwards, prices remaining at last sales values* Cattle —73 head were sold. Fat cows, £5 15s to £7 2s 6d ; no bullocks were offered. Store cattle —Cows and calves, £5 ss; 2-year-old steers, £6 5s ; heifers, £4 10s ; calves, £2 5a ; old cows, £4 10s. Sheep—93G came forward. Best wethers, from lls 9d to 12s ; others, from 9s to 9s 3d ; ewes, 7s (id to 9s 3d. Horses —The bidding was brisk. I sold draught animals up to £34 10s ; hacks, from £2 ids to £l4. Exports —so cattle, 1,050 sheep.
