All disputes to he settled by the Slewards, whose decision shall he iinal. 3. Persons lodging a protest will place £1 in the hands of the Secretary on making the same, which money will be forfeited if such protest be deemed by the Stewards frivolous or unjust. 4. All persons intending to withdraw horses, are requested to give notice to that effect to the Secretary, at least fifteen minutes before the hour uf starting. 5. Any jockey riding except in the colors entered, will be lined £l. G. Nominations and acceptances will not be received after the time stated under any pretence whatever, 7. Five per cent, will bo deducted frern the gross proceeds of all moneys paid in accordance with the programme, for expenses.
