SINGULAR EPISTLE.
[to the editor of the patea mail.]
Sin,—ln the Wanganui Chronicle of the 28th instant, chore appeared a local with the above heading—“ ‘What business is it of anybody’s if a Chairman of a County Council chooses to reorganise his household goods, in the sense used by Artenms Ward, as indicative of the peculiar line of discipline he saw lit to carry out with regard to his Betsy Jane. That’s what I want to know.’ Can anyone tell is there any vacancy in Mount View Asylum ? What do we know about sewing machines and ladies’ dresses and skin and hair flying?” Now, Mr Editor, there must be something meant by the above, that we poor ignorant folks living in this out of t'hc way place cannot understand. Surely they would not place a County Council Chairman in Mount View Asylum. How could the business of the County bo carried on without him ? But perhaps the Government intend to establish a new County of the lands connected with the above institution, and they require the services of an experienced chairman to conduct its affairs.—l am, &c., INQUISITIVE.
