ANOTHER GENTLE HINT.
(TO this EDITOR op the patea mail.) Sin,—The Patea Agricultural and Pastoral Association Show is now a thing of the past, and I have not been able to obtain any tidings of the special prizes which were promised to be given. Perhaps the gentlemen who promised them may bo able to give some good reasons for the withdrawal of such good intentions. The matter had almost escaped my memory, but the “ Gentle Hint” given by “ Observer,” in your issue of the 17th instant, recalled to my recollection the fact that two gentlemen in connection with the Association had promised to give special prizes at the Show which is just past. Snch being the case, I think it only right they should be reminded of the circumstance, —I am, &c., Another Observer. March 21, 1877. o
