[I’UOM THU CHEOXICLD.] At the llechabite, annual meeting at Croftou on Thursday 22ml instant 17 attended. The report .showed 480 financial, and 5S honorary members connected witli the central district. llrnnch.es ha ve been opened at Timaru and Dunedin during the year. Contributions to Sick Fund, £055 ; disbursements, Al7O ; average sickness, two and a halfdays to each financial member; total amount of funds to the credit of the district and branches, £3,409. It was resolved to establish a Widows and Orphans’ Fund. Committees wore appointed on Liquor Legislation, Friendly Societies Act, and Finance. A. large' picnic was given by the lion W. Dux to (he delegates and residents in in the district.
