Patea Mail Office, Friday evening. Vv'ni. Oowcrn reports : —At the Kakaramca .Monthly sale, held on the 11th hast., 171 head oi' cattle and 500 sheep were yarded, There was a numerous attendance, but -bidding was very dispirited, and prices*for cattle ruled tally 20s below previous sales. 18 mouths to 2 years, mixed, made fit 2s (id ; 2-J to ;5-ycar steers, fetched ;h5 Its; 1 nice pen of heifers realised £5 : and Isold at £G ; 15-I(i Lincoln lambs, fetched 12s (hi ; hoggets, 17s; 7-8 bred ewes, G-toolh, and full mouth, sold at 12sltd; interior class of ewes, in good condition, 7s Gd: About 100 head of cattle were withdrawn.
